SmallGroups are a huge part of church culture here at Valley. We aren't a church with SmallGroups; we are a SmallGroup church! We believe that the best place for people to grow spiritually is in SmallGroups, because life-change happens in the context of relationships. SmallGroups provide a place for people to connect, serve, grow, and lead. We offer an extremely wide range of groups for everyone, no matter where you are in your journey.
SERVE TEAM
We believe that serving is one of the ways to live out our vision. Serving not only gives us an opportunity to use our gifts, but it also connects us to our community. From creating a welcoming environment for guests during weekend services, to investing in kids, to coordinating worship and media; our SERVE TEAM is all about one thing: serving God by serving His people.

Valley Babies: 0 to crawlers – Our environment for children to read Bible stories and enjoy fun, interactive playtime.
Valley Pre-K: 3 to 5 years old – A place for kids to learn about Jesus while making crafts, worshipping, and eating snacks.
ValleyKids: 6 to 11 years old – A Sunday morning class where kids can play games, experience awesome worship, and learn from the Word of God! (These classes are separated into K-2 and 3-5 grades)
Valley Overtime: Open to all ValleyKids age children - This class is for kids that are attending multiple services and is to be attended after attending their primary class for the morning. This class provides games, fellowship, and snacks.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We are passionate to teach children about Jesus in a safe and fun environment! Every Sunday at Valley, our goal is that all kids (infants through 5th grade) learn in a creative and relevant way. A ValleyKids worship experience includes music, Bible teaching, and small groups that are age appropriate and engaging, where your child will learn about who God is and His love for them. We’d love to see you and your kids at our next service!
YOUR FIRST VISIT
Upon arrival, you will be directed to ValleyKids Check-In. We will meet your family, check your kids into our database system, and one of our Serve Team members will lead you and your kids to the room for their age group. Children can be checked into their rooms 15 minutes prior to the service.
SAFETY + PICK-UP
The safety of your child is our top priority! Each Serve Team member serving in ValleyKids has been through a security screening, including a background check.
You and your kids will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your kids will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. In the event that we need to contact you during the service, a member of our Serve Team will alert you.
After the service, you will return to the room where you dropped off your child and show your tag for your child to be released back to you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Valley Students is for Grades 6-12 and meets every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Valley building. We create an engaging environment with relevant teaching and age appropriate small groups where youth can belong, develop friendships, and discover all that God has for them.
REACH THE WORLD
We believe our city should be better because God’s people are in it. We want to make Jesus famous in the Roanoke Valley and throughout the world. We hope to make a difference that others notice and that draws them to know and worship Jesus.
