WHY WE NEED TO BUILD
VALLEY HAS REACHED A BARRIER
VCC has steadily grown over the past 10 years, but we have reached a plateau. This plateau in church growth lingo is called a barrier. Only 5% of the churches in the USA are 400 people or larger. The struggle and barrier are real!
VALLEY'S GROWING PAINS ARE MULTI-FACETED
It’s more than just a "fix what we have," issue. No one stays static. You are either growing or shrinking. Without vision, we perish. So very true. Our current set up is restrictive, and hindering us.
WE NEED A SPACE TO GROW
Things have changed. People are not comfortable in a crowded space. They need safety and places to connect and build relationships. The modern church building needs more chairs, a comfortable and spacious lobby, children/youth spaces that are safe, and environments for fellowship, connecting, and sharing life.
GOD HAS A HOPE AND FUTURE FOR OUR CONGREGATION
There is momentum charging into this season that I have not felt here before. This is our "kairos" moment - God's time for us.
“Lighthouse is a word that comes to our minds when you think about what you want your church to be. To us, Valley is truly a lighthouse. Not a classic way of thinking about a lighthouse that's warning you to steer clear; but it's the light of Christ that draws you in in a welcoming way so that you can truly see that doing life as a Christian is what's normal in a place like this.”
