Happy New Creation Year
Happy New Year!!
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59:19
As we begin a New Year, we are excited about what this new year will bring. Yes, I did say that...excited. You're saying, "Does Pastor David know what is going on in the world right now?" Sure do. And what I have to say about that is...to God belongs the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever Amen!
You see, God has not stopped being God. Jesus is still on the throne, and the Kingdom of God is here! I have to be reminded myself from time to time that there are still two Kingdoms at work. One is dying, has been defeated, and is lashing out in its final throes of death under the control of a "god" who knows his time is short. The other Kingdom is here! The mystery is that both of these kingdoms are advancing - one as a lie and futile illusion, and the other as glorious reality.
But, are there still casualties in this futile attempt to undue what Jesus did? Yes. One only has to read Revelation to know that there will be those who will never embrace truth, righteousness, and Jesus.
So, what about us? Our future is very bright! God will always raise a standard against every attempt of the enemy to undue what was done. But, we must do our part.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Eph. 6:10-12
The deeds of darkness often are the only things talked about in the news or by people that the world deems important. Often, these are servants of the failing kingdom - its the most accurate definition of propaganda you will find. Sadly, many are deceived by it.
In contrast, secretly, quietly, but world changing, the Kingdom of God powerfully advances. Every attempt of the enemy is thwarted eventually. God has already won on your behalf. You only lose if you give up, and even then, you can always get back up and start fighting again.
So, be encouraged Christian. Determine to make 2022 a year of advancement. Hold your line! And then pick up your sword! Do battle with the greatest confidence. Do not become angry, fearful, or discouraged. But, walk in faith and assurance that you have everything you need to fight and to win for your family; your purpose; your soul... in Jesus' name!
