Important Announcement

Dear Valley Family, 

The elders at Valley have been gracious in approving a much-needed, extended sabbatical for Andrea and me. 8 years ago, I took my first professional sabbatical after 32 years of ministry, and it was a tremendous blessing. I came back refreshed and refired.  On the other hand, Andrea, who has been in worship ministry for 40 years, has never taken a sabbatical.  

So, beginning January 1st of the new year, Andrea and I will be away for 8 weeks.  Let me assure you, we are not leaving. We are stepping out for a period so that we can prepare for the next season awaiting Valley.

The church will be in excellent hands during this period of time. Our elders, deacons, and staff are mature and qualified; they are prepared to lead you while we are gone, and our corps of serve teams are well-trained. Andrea and I and our staff have prepared diligently for this season.

Pray for us that our sabbatical will be a rich time of hearing from God and resting in His presence so that we may come back refreshed and ready to embrace the work and victories that lay ahead.
